Household and Similar Electrical Appliances - Test Code for the Determination of Airborne Acoustical Noise - Part 2-3: Particular Requirements for Dishwashers
Also Known As:
The determination of airborne acoustical noise in homes and comparable electrical appliances, particularly dishwashers, is the subject of the IEC 60704-2-3:2017 standard, which is a subset of the IEC 60704 series. This specification is meant to be used in conjunction with the general requirements stated in IEC 60704-1:2010. <br/>
This standard's primary objective is to offer a test code for dishwashers so that their airborne acoustical noise emissions can be measured. It describes the technical specifications, the testing procedures, and any needs unique to dishwashers. This covers things like calculating sound power level standard deviations and simulating real-world circumstances with synthetic soil and detergent. <br/>
As it is now included in IEC 60704-1:2010, Annex B, one significant difference in this edition is the absence of a description of an acceptable test container. Additionally, the requirement to fill the rinse aid container and the use of artificial soil in conjunction with unsoiled loads work to prevent machines from being taught to particularly detect test cycles and respond accordingly. <br/>
