Household and Similar Electrical Appliances - Safety - Part 2-12: Particular Requirements for Warming Plates and Similar Appliances
Also Known As:
The electric warming plates, warming trays, and other such equipment used to keep food or vessels warm in homes or other similar situations are subject to safety considerations that are addressed by the IEC 60335-2-12:2002+AMD1:2008 CSV standard. Appliances with a rated voltage of up to 250 V must adhere to the specification.
This standard also applies to equipment used in farms, light industry, and stores that are geared toward laypeople. It strives to ensure that the risk of potential dangers to users is minimized during the design and manufacturing processes of these products.
The standard's fifth edition from 2002 and amendment 1 from 2008 are both included in the condensed version. Due to the consolidation, the revision does not need to be ordered individually because it has already been incorporated into this publication.
