Household and Similar Electrical Appliances - Safety - Part 2-49: Particular Requirements for Commercial Electric Appliances for Keeping Food and Crockery Warm
Also Known As:
A safety standard created exclusively for electrically driven commercial hot cupboards and related appliances is IEC 60335-2-49:2002+AMD1:2008 CSV. These devices often run at voltages of up to 480 volts for some and 250 volts for single-phase appliances because they are not meant for domestic use.
The standard includes a variety of equipment used in commercial settings, such as heated shelves and tables, heated display cases, heated crockery dispensers, and hot cupboards with heated tops. It applies to a wide range of commercial enterprises, including eateries, canteens, hospitals, and other comparable facilities.
The electrical parts of appliances that use different types of energy are also covered by the standard. There is no longer a requirement to order the amendment individually in order to get this publication because the fourth edition, published in 2002, and its amendment 1, released in 2008, have been combined.
