A lexicon of terminology and meanings for refrigerated display cabinets used for the promotion and sale of food goods is provided by ISO 23953-1:2015, a standard. It expressly excludes refrigerators used in vending machines or cabinets intended for catering or other non-retail uses.
In addition to their translations into German, Italian, and Spanish, the standard includes words and definitions in English and French. It's vital to keep in mind that the standard only uses terms and definitions that are published in the two official ISO languages (English and French). The member organizations for Germany, Italy, and Spain are in charge of providing the words and meanings in the other languages.
