The safety standards for high-pressure cleaners and steam cleaners used in homes and other similar settings are the subject of the standard known as AS/NZS 60335.2.79:2012. The high-pressure cleaners without traction drives that are intended for indoor and outdoor usage in both home and commercial settings are particularly covered by the standard. The rated pressure for these cleaners must range from 2.5 MPa to 35 MPa.
Additionally included in the standard are steam cleaners and some components of hot water high-pressure cleaners that feature a steam stage. The maximum capacity and rated pressure for these cleaners, respectively, should not be greater than 100 liters and 2.5 MPa, respectively. Additionally, the capacity and rated pressure of a product should not be greater than 5 MPa x l. It's vital to remember that, in accordance with the norm, these cleaners shouldn't have traction drives.
