Furniture. Strength, Durability, and Safety: Requirements for Non-Domestic Tables

The standards for non-domestic tables in terms of strength, durability, and safety are laid forth in the BS EN 15372:2016 standard. All non-domestic table types, including those made of glass, are covered by this rule. However, since there are separate EN requirements for these categories, it does not apply to desks, tables for educational institutions, outdoor tables, or office work tables.
The standard does analyze the tables' stability, but it does not evaluate the usefulness of any storage features that are included. It also does not address electrical safety, resistance to aging, or durability standards for castors and height adjustment devices.
The standard comes with two helpful annexes. While Annex B offers guidelines on evaluating the test severity in light of how the tables are meant to be used, Annex A outlines additional test requirements.
