A standard called BS ISO 23769:2021 offers test procedures for figuring out how well mattresses operate. The mattress unit's mattress pads and durability, height loss, and hardness are all carefully addressed in the specification for mattresses with a height of 100 mm.
Adult mattresses, both domestic and foreign to the United States, must meet this requirement. Water mattresses, air mattresses, or stand-alone mattress pads are not covered, though.
