A European standard called BS EN 13219:2008 describes the functional and security requirements for trampolines used in gymnastics. In addition to the general safety standards described in EN 913, the standard includes particular safety requirements for five different types of trampolines. Trampolines that are designed for use under trained supervision, as detailed in Table 1, are subject to the standard. Tumble tracks, home-use trampolines, mini-trampolines, safety harnesses, and other accessories are not covered by it. The standard's goal is to guarantee that gymnastics trampolines adhere to the appropriate performance and safety requirements for users.
