Safety of toys - Part 14: Trampolines for domestic use
Also Known As:
The safety of trampolines made for household use is the main subject of the DIN EN 71-14 standard. It outlines specifications and testing procedures for these trampolines, as well as their entry points and enclosures. The standard is applicable to trampolines that can be used by one person at a time, both inside and outside.
You should be aware that this standard does not apply to trampolines used as gymnastic equipment, floating inflatable trampolines, trampolines used in public playgrounds, inclined mat trampolines, inflatable trampolines, fitness trampolines (including those used for medical purposes), or trampolines with extra features like tents or basketball hoops. These trampolines are not covered by the requirements of this standard.
The DIN EN 71-14 standard seeks to guarantee user safety for trampolines made for home use by defining requirements and test procedures. It offers recommendations for manufacturers to adhere to in order to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries related to trampoline use.
