Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances - Part 2: Particular Requirements for Commercial Electric Deep Fat Fryers
Also Known As:
Guidelines for the safe use of commercial deep-fat fryers that are not meant for residential use are provided by the CAN/CSA-E335-2-37-94 standard. This standard also considers the electrical components of devices that use energy sources other than electricity.
There are, however, several exceptions to this rule. It does not apply to appliances designed for use in locations with particular conditions, such as corrosive or explosive atmospheres, pressure fryers, continuous-process fryers used for mass food production, or appliances. Appliances used in automobiles, ships, aircraft, or tropical regions may need to meet additional standards.
It is crucial to keep in mind that national agencies in charge of health, water supply, and labor protection may impose extra standards in various nations. To guarantee the security and welfare of users, adherence to certain national regulations is required.
