Furniture - Tables - Test Methods for the Determination of Stability, Strength and Durability
Also Known As:
Regardless of the materials, designs, or manufacturing techniques employed, the DIN EN 1730 standard includes test procedures for evaluating the stability, strength, and durability of various types of tables and desks. Changing units are not covered by this standard because they are covered by other European Standards. The standard does not address the strength and durability of storage features, nor does it contain test procedures for evaluating aging, degradation, or ergonomics. Additionally, the standard excludes criteria for electrical safety. The standard does not contain any explicit requirements; therefore, it is crucial to keep in mind that not all test methods may be relevant to all kinds of tables. Various end-use requirements can be found in other standards.
