Domestic Swimming Pools - Water Systems - Part 2: Circulation Systems - Requirements and Test Methods
Also Known As:
The specifications and test procedures for the circulation systems used in residential swimming pools are laid forth in the DIN EN 16713-2/A1 standard. This standard specifically applies to the machinery for introducing and/or extracting water that is employed in these pools' water circulation.
It is crucial to remember that this standard, which must be read in conjunction with EN 16582-1, pertains to swimming pools that meet its definition. However, it does not apply to the following types of pools: paddling pools in accordance with EN 71-8; pools for public use covered by EN 15288-1; spas for home or public use; natural and nature-inspired pools; and pre-filtration systems.
The standard uses EN 16713-1 for filtration systems and EN 16713-3 for treatment systems. This provides a foundation for guaranteeing the quality and safety of these systems by ensuring that the circulation systems in home swimming pools satisfy the necessary requirements and are tested using standardized procedures.
