Automatic electrical controls - Part 2-6: Particular requirements for automatic electrical pressure sensing controls including mechanical requirements
Also Known As:
Automatic electrical pressure sensing controls used in equipment are covered by the IEC 60730-2-6:2015+A1:2019 CSV standard. This standard applies to controls used with a variety of energy sources, such as electricity, gas, oil, solid fuel, and solar thermal energy, and it covers a wide range of pressure ratings, from -60 kPa to 4.2 MPa. It also comprises controls integrated with multi-functional controls, those used in appliances, and controls used in many types of equipment, including equipment utilized by the general public.
The standard covers testing of automatic electrical pressure sensing controllers, operational values, operating sequences relevant to equipment protection, and inherent safety. It also takes into account the functional safety of low-complexity pressure sensing-related safety controls and systems. This standard modifies the requirements for various control functions and faults during lockout or safety shutdown in accordance with IEC 60730-1, Edition 5.
It should be noted that the third edition (2015) and its amendment 1 (2019) are included in this version of the standard; therefore, further amendments are not required. This standard should be read in conjunction with IEC 60730-1:2013 to fully comprehend the requirements and recommendations provided in it.
