A safety standard called IEC 60335-2-54:2008+A1:2015 primarily covers the needs of domestic surface-cleaning equipment. The standard covers wallpaper removers in addition to appliances with rated voltages up to 250 V.
The scope of the standard has been significantly reduced to only apply to appliances whose product of pressure (in MPa) and container volume (in l) does not exceed 5. This suggests that the standard is focused on devices with certain pressure and volume restrictions.
