Domestic gas cooking appliances - Safety - Part 21: Particular requirements for gas hobs, gas grills and gas griddles
Also Known As:
A standard known as ISO/TS 21364-21:2021 lays out particular standards for the materials, design, and safety of residential gas cooking appliances. The gas hobs, grills, and griddles that are frequently used in homes are the focus of this standard. It encompasses a range of surface cooking equipment, such as built-in, integrated, and table-top models, as well as gas hob accessories.
It is crucial to remember that surface cooking equipment intended for outdoor or commercial usage is exempt from this requirement. Additionally, it excludes devices with automatic burner controls and those with electrically heated elements. The IEC 60335 standard series should be consulted for electrical safety regulations.
The standards for gas cylinders, their pressure regulators, and their connections are not covered by ISO/TS 21364-21:2021. Additionally, it doesn't address the specifications for installing gas. It is crucial to take into account any further specifications made by national health authorities, water supply authorities, or other comparable bodies in various nations.
