A method for figuring out the thickness of textile floor coverings created by machines is provided by the ISO 1765:1986 standard. It applies to all kind of floor coverings created of textiles by machines. It should be emphasized that this test cannot be utilized to determine the product's quality on its own.
The standard has undergone revisions since the release of ISO 1765–1975. Technical changes have been made to clauses 5 and 8, as well as subclauses 7.2 and 9.4. This shows that the standard has been modified to enhance the test method's accuracy and dependability.
