The safety of electric dishwashing machines used in commercial settings is the main objective of the AS/NZS 60335.2.58:2018 (IEC TEXT) standard. These washers are made to clean silverware, glasses, plates, and other such items. Appliances with or without water heating or drying capabilities are covered by the standard.
The standard covers electric dishwashing machines with rated voltages of up to 480 volts for other appliances and up to 250 volts for single-phase appliances connected between one phase and neutral. It is significant to note that, as of November 30, 2021, the 2018 edition will supersede the preceding AS/NZS 60335.2.58:2015 version. The requirement is the same as IEC 60335-2-58 Ed. 4 (2017).
