A European standard known as BS EN 581-2:2015 describes the mechanical safety specifications and testing procedures for seating used in outdoor furniture. The standard does not take into account the materials, designs, or manufacturing techniques employed and is applicable to camping, home, and contract seats.
It should be emphasized that this criterion excludes street furniture, replaceable upholstery and coverings, long-lasting castors and wheels and height-adjustment mechanisms, electrical safety, and resistance to aging brought on by light, temperature, and moisture. The test requirements outlined in this standard are predicated on the idea that users of the seating will weigh up to 110 kg.
