CSA R7003:16 (R2021) PDF Download

The most recent version of AHAM 7003, the second edition of UL 7003, and the first edition of CSA R7003 are all included in the CSA R7003:16 (R2021) standard. The standard covers laundry equipment used in homes and in commercial spaces designed to resemble residential settings, such as coin-operated washers found in apartment complexes.

The standard includes top-loading compact washers with a capacity under 45 L (1.6 ft3), top-loading standard washers, front-loading standard washers, and front-loading compact washers with a capacity under 45 L (1.6 ft3), among other types of clothes washers. It is crucial to keep in mind that the standard can be amended in subsequent revisions to cover combo washer-dryers.

The U.S. Department of Energy and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) state that the standard does not apply to suds-saving or semi-automatic washers because there are no known models of these types on the market at the moment.
