Barbecue Grill Brushes
Also Known As:
The performance, testing, and marking requirements for consumer-grade hand-held grill brushes and replacement heads with metal bristles are laid forth in the standard CSA Z630:19. The standard focuses on ensuring the safety elements of these items while taking into account the usage environment and level of expected users.
The safety standards for barbeque grill brushes are covered by the standard, but the efficiency of these brushes in cleaning cooking surfaces is not covered. Other ways of cleaning barbeque grill surfaces, such as bristle-free brushes or scrapers, cleaning stones or blocks, cloths, pot scrubbers, motorized brushes, and continuous-coil grill brushes, are not included in this standard but are nonetheless thought of as alternatives.
Health Canada funding and the help of the Standards Council of Canada allowed for the publication of the first edition of CSA Z630. The standard was created in accordance with the standards for National Standards of Canada set forth by the Standards Council of Canada.
