Household and Similar Electrical Appliances - Safety - Part 2-48: Particular Requirements for Commercial Electric Grillers and Toasters
Also Known As:
A specific focus of the standard IEC 60335-2-48:2002+A1:2008+A2:2017 is the safety standards for commercial electric toasters and grills. It pertains to electric appliances used in commercial contexts where they are not designed for home use, such as restaurants, bakeries, and hospitals. These appliances run at a maximum rated voltage of 480 V for other appliances and not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances connected between one phase and neutral.
The standard applies to a variety of kitchen appliances, including toasters, rotisseries, salamanders, and rotational or continuous grillers. Appliances that use energy sources other than electricity are also included.
The fourth edition from 2002, along with amendments 1 and 2 from 2008, are all included in this particular version of the standard, which is a consolidated version. There is no need to order the modifications separately as a result.
