Household and Similar Electrical Appliances - Safety - Part 2-9: Particular Requirements for Grills, Toasters and Similar Portable Cooking Appliances
Also Known As:
A standard known as IEC 60335-2-9:2008+A1:2012+A2:2016 deals with the security requirements for electric portable cooking equipment used in homes and other settings. These items include toasters, grills, and other cooking equipment with a maximum rated voltage of 250 V. The standard includes many different appliances, including popcorn makers, hotplates, and breadmakers.
The wording has been updated to comply with IEC 60335-1, Ed4, and its revisions. Pop-corn makers have also been added to the list of devices that must comply, and the concepts of "household" and "similar purposes" have been clarified. The standard's sixth edition (2008), amendment number one (2012), and amendment number two (2016) are all included in this condensed form.
It is crucial to remember that IEC 60335-1:2010, which outlines general safety criteria for home appliances and other comparable electrical devices, should be read in combination with this standard.
