AS/NZS 60335.2.9:2014 (IEC TEXT) PDF Download

The focus of the AS/NZS 60335.2.9:2014 standard is on the safety standards for portable electric cooking appliances. These appliances include anything with a rated voltage of little more than 250 V that is used for grilling, roasting, or baking.

After two years from its publication, the new version of the standard, AS/NZS 60335.2.9:2009, will be replaced. During this transition time, it is anticipated that regulatory agencies will approve grills, toasters, and comparable portable cooking equipment based on either this standard or the preceding norm.

The IEC 60335-2-9 Ed 6.1 text is adopted by the AS/NZS 60335.2.9:2014 standard, with local adjustments. This shows that the worldwide IEC standard has been adopted nationally and has undergone special modifications to bring it into compliance with Australian and New Zealand legal requirements.
