Household and Similar Electrical Appliances - Safety - Part 2-37: Particular Requirements for Commercial Electric Doughnut Fryers and Deep Fat Fryers
Also Known As:
The standard specifies the precise security criteria for industrial electric deep-fat and doughnut fryers. In business settings including restaurants, canteens, hospitals, bakeries, and butcheries, these appliances are frequently used. The specification covers electrically powered fryers with rated voltages up to 480 V for other appliances and 250 V for single-phase appliances. The specification specifically states that these machines are not meant for domestic usage.
The fifth edition of the standard from 2002 and two further changes from 2008 and 2011 are all included in this particular version of the standard, which is a consolidated version. Therefore, as they are already included in this publication, there is no need to order new amendments. Additionally, it is stated that IEC 60335-1:2010, which outlines general safety criteria for electrical equipment, should be read alongside this standard.
