Standard EN SampleHousehold and Similar Electrical Appliances - Safety - Part 2-99: Particular Requirements for Commercial Electric Hoods
Also Known As:
IEC 60335-2-99:2003+A1:2017 Electric commercial hoods are utilized in a variety of establishments, including restaurants, canteens, hospitals, and commercial organizations. The CSV standard focuses on safety considerations for these hoods. These hoods are made to be put above deep-fat fryers, stoves, griddles, and other commercial cooking equipment.
The standard applies to vent hoods that are not meant for home use and have a maximum rated voltage of 480 V for other hoods and 250 V for single-phase hoods linked between one phase and neutral. It applies to hoods that are sold as complete single units as well as hoods that may be constructed from various parts to create a working device with a built-in fan.
This standard's first edition from 2003 and amendment 1 from 2017 are both included in the consolidated version. This indicates that since the change is already included in this consolidated version, there is no need to request it separately. The standard's objective is to protect users from potential risks and guarantee the security of commercial electric hoods.
