A standard called IEC 60350-2:2011 is focused on measuring the performance of domestic electric hobs. These hobs can either be built-in or set up on a tabletop, the floor, or another surface. Hobs that are part of a cooking range are likewise covered by this rule.
The standard outlines the primary performance traits that are significant to users and offers tools for measuring them. It does not, however, impose any clear standards for performance.
The initial portion of the standard is this edition, which is linked to IEC 60350:1999. With this division, one section will be devoted to cooking ranges, ovens, and steam ovens, while the other will focus solely on hobs. In this instance, Part 2 deals with hobs, and IEC 60350-1 deals with ovens.
