Automatic Electrical Controls for Household and Similar Use - Part 2-7: Particular Requirements for Timers and Time Switches
Also Known As:
The IEC 60730-2-7:2008 standard was created primarily for timers and time switches used in residential settings and other comparable settings. These gadgets may regulate heating, air conditioning, and other systems that run on electricity, gas, oil, solid fuel, or solar thermal energy, among other things.
The standard's second edition, which includes a technical change, practically replaces the first one. Additionally, it incorporates revisions to the IEC 60730-1:1999 standard with Amendment 2 from 2007 as well as new specifications for tungsten filament lamp loadings. The IEC 60730-1 standard and Part 2-7 standard must be utilized in tandem.
The third edition of the IEC 60730-1 standard from 1999, along with Amendments 1 and 2 from 2003 and 2007, served as the foundation for the creation of the IEC 60730-2-7 standard. It's important to note that when implementing this Part 2-7 standard, future IEC 60730-1 editions or revisions may also be taken into account.
