AS/NZS 60335.2.29:2017 PDF Download

The safety standards for electric battery chargers used in homes and other similar contexts are the main topic of the AS/NZS 60335.2.29:2017 standard. The specification is applicable to chargers having a maximum output of 120 V of ripple-free direct current and a maximum rated voltage of 250 V. It excludes battery chargers covered by other IEC 60335 series standards and only addresses battery chargers intended for residential use.

The AS/NZS 60335.2.29:2004 version of the standard will be replaced by this 2017 revision on June 30, 2020. The international standard IEC 60335-2-29, Edition 5:2016 is not included in the standard, despite the fact that it has been approved with national adjustments.
