Automatic Electrical Controls for Household and Similar Use - Part 2-15: Particular Requirements for Automatic Electrical Air Flow, Water Flow and Water Level Sensing Controls
Also Known As:
The IEC 60730-2-15 standard was adopted by Canada as CSA E60730-2-15:14. The CAN/CSA-E60730-1:02 standard, which includes fundamental specifications for automatic electrical controls, is meant to be used in combination with this specification.
The automatic electrical air flow, water flow, and water level sensing controls used in boilers, home appliances, and similar applications are covered by the CSA E60730-2-15:14 standard. Pumps for swimming pools, water tanks, cooling towers, dishwashers, washing machines, air conditioning chillers, and ventilation systems are just a few examples of the devices that utilise these controls.
The safety, operating parameters, operational schemes, and testing of these controls are all covered by the standard. It also applies to appliance controls that fall under the purview of IEC 60335-1 and IEC 60364-7-702. Additionally, it has controls for machinery that isn't meant for typical household usage but that the general public may nevertheless use at retail establishments, light industries, and farms. The standard also covers controls that are mechanically incorporated into multifunctional controls or a control system.
Pressure-operated water flow, air flow, and water level sensing controls, which have different criteria in the IEC 60730-2-61 standard, are not covered by the CSA E60730-2-15:14 standard. Additionally, it does not apply to controllers made specifically for industrial uses.
