Domestic cooking appliances burning gas - Part 1-1: Safety - General
Also Known As:
For residential cooking appliances that burn flammable gases, the DIN EN 30-1-1 standard specifies the construction and performance characteristics, as well as the safety standards and testing methodologies. A wide range of equipment, including freestanding and built-in hotplates, hotplates and grills, table cookers, ovens, griddles, and cookers, is covered by this standard.
The standard outlines specifications for many components in order to assure the safety of these cooking appliances. One of the modifications, A3, is specific about the strength of the glass surface of glass ceramic or glass parts that aren't constructed of toughened soda-lime glass, and it concentrates on glass components. Additionally, it includes a test for it and introduces fragmentation standards for toughened soda-lime glass.
