Standard ENFR Sample 1 Sample 2 Sample 3 EN FRAutomatic Electrical Controls - Part 1: General Requirements
Also Known As:
A standard known as IEC 60730-1:2013+AMD1:2015+AMD2:2020 is applicable to automatic electrical controls used in home appliances and other related devices. It covers a broad range of controls used on machinery that may make use of electricity, gas, oil, etc. Controls used in public areas like stores, offices, and hospitals, as well as in commercial and industrial applications, are likewise covered by this standard. It includes controls that are integrated into multifunctional controls or that are a part of a control system. It also includes relays needed to operate appliances. For these controls, the standard specifies operating values and safety standards.
Compared to the fourth edition, the standard's fifth version includes a number of revisions. The title and scope have been altered, and several sections have been revised to reflect advancements in technology and applications as well as improvements to bring them into compliance with pertinent standards. Requirements for battery-powered controls and the use of batteries in controls are now part of the standard. Additionally covered are relay failures, temperature sensor controls, switch-mode power supplies, screwless clamping units, and remotely actuated control features. There is no need to order separate amendments because the standard combines the fifth edition, amendment 1, and amendment 2.
