Standard EN SampleHousehold and Similar Electrical Appliances - Safety - Part 2-58: Particular Requirements for Commercial Electric Dishwashing Machines
Also Known As:
A standard called IEC 60335-2-58:2017 focuses on the security requirements for industrial electric dishwashing machines. These devices are designed for use in bakeries, hospitals, restaurants, and other commercial establishments. Dishwashing machines of all kinds, including conveyor dishwashers, batch dishwashers, and brush machines, are covered by the standard.
The standard covers standards to stop the backflow of non-potable water into the water mains as well as common dangers connected to this equipment. It also includes the electrical parts of equipment that use other sources of power.
Remember that certain appliances, such as those used in corrosive or explosive environments or those solely intended for industrial usage, are exempt from this criterion. Furthermore, it excludes sterilizers, washer-disinfectors used for medical supplies, and dishwashers that are not integrated into a single functional unit.
The fourth version of this standard was released in 2017 and coincides with version 5.2 of Part 1. It also incorporates technical updates. It includes revisions to some remarks and clarifies the specifications and testing for vertical-lift doors. The most recent edition of IEC 60335-1 and any revisions should be utilized in combination with this part 2 of the standard.
