Household refrigerating appliances - Characteristics and test methods - Part 2: Performance requirements
Also Known As:
A standard called IEC 62552-2:2015 describes the properties and testing procedures for home refrigeration equipment. This standard is applicable to equipment that uses forced air circulation or internal natural convection to cool it. This standard's goal is to make sure that these appliances adhere to particular performance specifications.
A variety of test procedures are included in the standard to verify the characteristics of the appliances. These tests assess the functioning of the appliance in detail, looking at things like cooling capacity and pull-down time. Each attribute is tested separately, and the outcomes of these tests are particular to the sample being tested.
It is significant to note that the standard does not outline a process for extrapolating test results from a sample of appliances to the total population. As a result, it is not recommended to extrapolate the features of other appliances from the findings of these tests.
